Plasters and Hangover Cures.

Zooming forward to last weekend...
James came down :D:D
We hung out in town for a while on Saturday, and then it was time for the LINKS pub crawl! With the theme "Lets Get Plastered", everytime you had a drink, you had a plaster! I'm still finding them today, I think i ended up with about 15, and not all of those were singles...
After dancing the night away, I had to get up early (6am) to go to a Medical Gases course. Of course, James stayed in bed....
Lets just say....oxygen is an awesome cure for hangovers....but entinox is not so much...
My head was thumping all day...but not regretted it as yet :D
Another thing that made helped with the hangover...the trip to Guildford after the course for pancakes! YEY!

A bit of a catch up...part 1

OK, no post for a while means lots and lots to type about!
So, weekend before last I went up to Wolverhampton for Sandeep's birthday party. After a long train ride, I met up with Sarah at the station, then we got a taxi to our hotel :D
Hotel was nice, and Sarah and I got into our glad rags before Sandeep's family came and picked us up and then we drove to the venue. As we walked in, a huge camera stared us in the face, and we greeted Sandeep and her family. After grabbing something to drink, we sat at our table, and watched a slide show of baby pictures of Sandeep (hehe, want a copy for facebook). Then the camera man approached us today, and we had to say how much we love Sandeep on the camera, lol I was being completely honest, but I must have sounded like a twat cos I didn't have time to think about what to say!
Food next, and poppadoms all round..Yum yum
Whilst we finished that up, the cake ceremony started. Sandeep did a little speech, her brother did too, and played the violin (sooo cute) and we sang happy birthday. Then we got a chance to feed Sandeep some of her HUUUUUUGE birthday cake and have a picture with her.
After a post-cake boogie to some awesome bangra-fusion-type music, was dinner, yum yum yum, a little spicy but nice!
Then...more drinks...boogie (including doing the YMCA and the Macarena in front of everyone)... and chatting to some drunk relatives...t'was the end of a great evening!
Pictures to follow...

The Hour of Death

1715 - I get an email at work saying that my friend's car has failed it's MOT. The death of a car.

1725 - I come across the same friend on the side of a busy road with a rather ragged looking rabbit, which she saved when it tried to run into the moving traffic. So we packed it up into a box nicked from the used car salesmen (o they laughed, they laughed their designer suits off), and carried the poor thing over the road to freedom in the park behind the Hilton Hotel. It had a funny eye and was shaking quite a lot, so I'm guessing it didn't have many miles left on it's clock either.
1755 - I evetually get onto the bus, and decide to ring my dad to tell him the tale to keep me occupied on the bus. He passes me over to my mum, who tells me a delightful tale in return. Apparently a member of staff from my primary school has been found dead in the school canteen freezer.
What a chilling story.... *boom tish*

1815 - Walking home from the bus stop, two huge black birds (either mating or chasing each other, hoping its the latter) fly into my back...knocking me to the ground. Had I been 2 feet to the left I would have fallen into a busy road! Was lucky...

Got into my house, cooked some dinner (with extreme caution) then stayed locked away in my room until i was sure it was safe to come out...you never know do you....
